How Break the Cycle can help

We can offer young people:

  • Provide you with advice and guidance if you are concerned that a pupil is experiencing abuse within their own relationship or witnessing abuse between adults at home.  We will listen to your concerns and advise you on the best steps to take.

  • Provide training to professionals around:

    • Teen relationship abuse

    • How trauma impacts the adolescent brain

    • How to identify whether a pupil is exposed to domestic abuse

  • Deliver workshops about relationship abuse and healthy relationships to pupils (from Year 5 to college age).  These can be delivered as one-off workshops or via a series of workshops to a smaller group of pupils.

  • Meet with young people in one-to-one settings on the school grounds (when Covid-19 restrictions lift).

  • Assist schools to understand their obligations under Operation Encompass, and how to support pupils who have witnessed a domestic abuse incident within their home.
